IPSJ Accessibility Policy
IPSJ Accessibility Policy
Established on January 24, 2022
The Information Processing Society of Japan (IPSJ) (https://www.ipsj.or.jp/english/index.html) website is created and operated with due regard to the guidelines set out in JIS X8341-3 (Guidelines for older persons and persons with disabilities - Information and communications equipment, software and services - Part 3: Web content). The aim is to provide a website that is accessible to as many people as possible. Some pages on the website may contain sections that are not yet fully compliant with this accessibility policy, however IPSJ is working to make these sections JIS-compliant in stages as required (the main items requiring attention are summarized below).
Creating pages in line with HTML grammar
Pages on the IPSJ website are created in accordance with HTML grammar conventions in order that the information contained on each page is accessible to as many people as possible.
Creating easy-to-understand pages
Page titles are created in a way that allows users to understand each page’s content at a glance. Plain and clear language has been adopted to make content easier to understand.
Consideration for text-to-speech software
Information is accurately conveyed to users of text-to-speech software through the addition of image descriptions alongside images and the design of page layouts that takes into consideration the order in which text will be read out on each page.
Providing information that does not require the use of colors, shapes, or positions to be understood
Information that requires the use of colors, shapes, or positions to be understood is provided together with information that does not rely on visual perception.
Using high-contrast colors
Content is easier to perceive for persons who have some form of color vision deficiency through the use of carefully considered colors across the site and highly contrasting colors for foreground and background elements.
Consideration of font sizes
The IPSJ website is created in a way that allows users to change font size via their browser or assistive technology.
