Editorial Committee of the Journal of Information Processing
Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "Intelligent Transportation Systems and Mobile Communication Supporting Relationship among People with Society".
To realize safe and comfort life by supporting relationships between us with society, many researches of intelligent transportation systems and mobile communication technology have been carried out. For example, in the area of intelligent transportation systems, a number of proposals have been made; radio communication devices for vehicular terminals such as 803.11p, context aware systems for pedestrians and geographic information systems based on short-range radio communication devices such as RFID and ZigBee, and technical proposal combining them aiming to realize collision free transportation environments. In the area of mobile communication, also a lot of researches have been carried out; broad band wireless communication devices such as Wi-Fi, WiMAX and LTE, research and development of ad-hoc network and sensor network technology, and personal navigation systems based on such devices and technologies. These research and development areas are important for realizing next generation ubiquitous society.
In the special issue of "Intelligent Transportation Systems and Mobile Communication Supporting Relationship among People with Society", the program committee especially seeks paper submissions in these areas, as follows.
- Mobile Computing System (Architecture, Protocol, Management, Security)
- Sensor Network, Information Appliance / Home Network, Ad-hoc Network
- Communication Medium (3G Cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, IrDA, DSRC, Digital Broadcasting, etc.)
- Mobile / Ubiquitous / Wearable Computing
- Mobile Agent, Mobile Web Service
- Mobile Application, RFID Tag
- Intelligent Transportation System
- Geometry Information System, Location Aware Service
- HMI, High Performance Handheld Devices, Electronic Settlement, Security, QoS, OS
- Transportation Management (Supply Chain Management, Traffic Estimation and Prediction System)
- Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
- Image Processing (Lane Departure Warning System, Object Recognition, Traffic Flow Observation)
- Ubiquitous / Internet Intelligent Transportation System
Not only papers about the above topics but also papers relevant to intelligent transportation system and mobile computing topics topic will be welcome. Dr. KIYOHARA of Kanagawa Institute of Technology has been invited to act as a guest editor for this special issue.
