Call for Papers - Special Issue of "Information Security or Operation Technology in the Age of Virtualization"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of "Information Security or Operation Technology in the Age of Virtualization".
Computer systems are more complicated, because hardware and computer network are virtualized. Thus it is important to manage and operate complicated systems. In addition, the measures of the security are necessary, too.
In this special issue, we published a paper on the research issues related to the development and operation technology of new service in the age of virtualization. We welcome to submit the paper on actually operating technology that can be generalized. Akira SATO of University of Tsukuba has been invited as a guest editor for this special issue.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following areas:
・Operation technology of virtual system and network that support the cloud computing
・Development and operation of new computer systems
・Development and operation of computer systems and network in consideration of security
・Development and operation of the system with high level security
・Network traffic analysis, load balancing technology, operation technology of IX(Internet eXchange) for virtual system and software defined network.

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is June 16, 2014 June 25, 2014.*Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in April March, 2015. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in March, 2015.
Notice: Journal of Information Processing (JIP) will be published bimonthly from 2015 (Vol.23). A publication schedule of this special issue might be moved up by one month.
