Call for Papers - Special Issue of "Internet and operation technologies in the era of cloud"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “Internet and operation technologies in the era of cloud”.
The cloud environment is widely utilized to support a variety of social systems, and it also used even for research area including big-data and open-science because of less cost, more scalability and so on. But the cloud infrastructure depends on network extremely and it requires changes on network architecture, style of operation and security management.
In this special issue, we will publish papers on the research issues related to the Internet and operation technologies in the era of cloud. We welcome a variety of papers related this theme including practical experiences that can be generalized and useful for readers. *** Motonori NAKAMURA at National Institute of Informatics *** has been invited as a guest editor for this special issue.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

● Operation technologies of virtual system and network that support the cloud computing
● Development and operation technologies of new computer systems and network systems
● Development and operation of computer systems and network systems in consideration of security
● Planning and implementation of procedures for operations of systems with high level security
● Network traffic analysis, load balancing technology, operation technology of IX (Internet eXchange)

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is June 15, 2015 June 22, 2015. *Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in March, 2016. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in March, 2016.
