Call for Papers - Special Issue of "Internet and operation technologies in the era of IoT"

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “Internet and operation technologies in the era of IoT.”
IoT (internet of things) that physical objects such as sensor devices are connected to each other via a network has started to spread widely. There are limitations in size and power consumption for many of the IoT devices. For this reason, IoT devices do not have common network functions. So there is a need for new management techniques and security measures for them.
In this special issue, we will publish papers on the research issues related to the Internet and operation technologies in the era of IoT. We welcome a variety of papers related this theme including practical experiences that can be generalized and useful for readers. *** Kazuyuki YOSHIDA at Oita University *** has been invited as a guest editor for this special issue.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following areas:

 ●Operation technologies of system and network for IoT.
 ●Development and operation technologies of new computer systems and network systems
 ●Development and operation of computer systems and network systems in consideration of security
 ●Planning and implementation of procedures for operations of systems with high level security
 ●Network traffic analysis, load balancing technology, operation technology of IX (Internet eXchange)

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is currently encouraging more submissions from outside of Japan.
Any papers electronically submitted to JIP before July 31, 2016 are eligible for 30% discount in publication charge when accepted.

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (two months) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is June 17, 2016 June 27, 2016. *Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in March, 2017. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in March, 2017.
