Call for Papers - Special Issue of "Intelligent Transportation Systems and Pervasive Systems in the New Normal Era"

　Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is pleased to announce the call for papers for a special issue of “Intelligent Transportation Systems and Pervasive Systems in the New Normal Era”.
Fifth-generation Mobile Communications System (5G) is going to impact on many social infrastructures including the Intelligent Transport Systems. Just at this moment, a pandemic of COVID-19 occurs and many aspects of the society have changed suddenly. Then the New Normal Era will come after the pandemic. The mobile and Intelligent Transport Systems are driven not only by the new emerging technologies such as 5G, but also the changes in social conditions. It is timely and meaningful to have special issues dedicated to both technological and social issues.
In the special issue of “Intelligent Transportation Systems and Pervasive Systems in the New Normal Era”, the program committee especially seeks paper submissions in these areas, as follows.

Journal of Information Processing (JIP) is currently encouraging more submissions from outside of Japan.
The publication fee of any accepted papers will not be charged if all the authors of the paper belong to institutes outside Japan.

(1) All papers must be submitted electronically. Please access the following URL and proceed under the submission instructions:

Once you have submitted your manuscript, you cannot change it.
So, you must submit the final version of your manuscript.

(2) All papers will be reviewed. The review process will be carried out in the same manner as regular issues. However, you have shorter time than usual (eight weeks) for preparation of your responses to inquiries.

(3) Submission deadline is March 31, 2021 April 12, 2021　April 18, 2021. *Deadline extended

(4) The special issue will be published on the J-Stage website in January, 2022. Preprint will be published on the IPSJ Journal in January, 2022.
